Executive Summary
In a third-party trial with a commercial medicinal cannabis grower in Florida, Thrivedo® proved to increase yield, THC, and terpene levels over the course of a 12-week study on cannabis sativa varietal Gorilla Cookies.
While many products on the market claim to boost yield for medicinal cannabis growers, they’re often targeted at operations lacking quality fertilization programs. In the study conducted with Thrivedo, Verano365® partnered with a grower who was already utilizing fertilization best practices to see if the addition of the company’s proprietary protein surfactant could further enhance yield and maintain or improve plant quality.
Supramolecular Structures for Maximum Impact
Thrivedo is powered by OpusMAX, Verano365’s formulation technology. OpusMAX facilitates the self-assembly of supramolecular structures when combined with horticulture inputs. In the figures below, you can see a side-by-side comparison of yeast extract micelles (Saccharomyces Cerevisiae) before and after the introduction of OpusMAX. The 500x magnification of lab images show Thrivedo localizing the active ingredient to increase the efficacy of the input.

Trial Protocol & Results
The trial compared the grower’s standard program versus the program plus 10mL/gal of Thrivedo on cannabis sativa. There were 17 Gorilla Cookies plants on each bench in two-gallon poly pots. The treated plants received eight applications of Thrivedo at 10mL/gal per week in addition to the standard fertility program received by the control. In total, the treated plants received an application volume of 40 ounces of solution per pot per week for a total of 320 ounces during the trial period.
At the completion of the treatments, the plants on each bench were weighed and dried, and tissue samples from both benches were sent to KaychaLabs in Gainesville, Florida for analysis. The certificate of analysis from the lab showed the Thrivedo treatment enhanced yield and quality for the grower. The dry weight in grams showed the average bud yield on Gorilla Cookies increased from 44.9g to 58.8g with the Thrivedo treatment.

The Thrivedo-treated cannabis plants showed improvement in core areas:
o +31% increase in average bud yield (based on dry weight)
o +8.8% increase in total THC
o +8.7% increase in terpenes
o +6% increase in total CBD
o +8.7% increase in cannabinoids
The Return
In this particular trial, based on the grower’s sell price per gram, the Thrivedo-treated cannabis yielded a 20:1 return on investment to the commercial grow operation.
